Supplex® / Lycra® − Sports Performance Stretch Fabric

Supplex® / Lycra® is our main sportswear fabric. Supplex® is the performance branded fibre from Invista (formerly DuPont) that is Air Jet Textured and feels soft like cotton but has the durability, high resistance to abrasion and tear-resistance of nylon.

Lycra® is the branded elastane yarn from Invista (formerly DuPont) that stretches several times in length with full recovery to give enhanced fit, stretch, comfort and performance.

Supplex® manages moisture, is fully breathable keeping you cool and dry, and is resistant to wind and rain and dries quickly. Supplex® also offers excellent protection from UVA and UVB rays from exposure to sunlight. Easy care Supplex® keeps its vibrant colour and soft handle, wash, after wash, after wash.

Suitable for action sports where fit, stretch and recovery are necessary including rowing, netball, hockey, and cycling and activities including aerobics, yoga, dance and gym.

We can also dye Supplex® / Lycra® fabric to match your own shades. Please send a sample of the shade you require and we will arrange to lab-dip fabric to the match your shade and quote you a price.

The minimum quantity for non-stock shades is a dye lot of 300 metres
